RIBA wants Budget to back building
THE Royal Institute of British Architects is urging the Government to use the upcoming budget to get the UK building in order to create growth, address the housing crisis and deliver homes and communities that people want to live in.
RIBA President Angela Brady has called on the Government to increase capital investment in new infrastructure, public buildings and housing to kickstart economic growth. She also calls for them to provide the mechanisms to finance the delivery of 300,000 new homes each year alongside immediate action to start building the next generation of ecofriendly garden cities. RIBA also want an inventory of all publiclyowned land detailing the sites that can be sold to developers.
