Appeal for sellers in bouyant market

Yorkshire Post - Property - - PROPERTY -

THE housing market in York is buoyant but it’s suffering a stock shortage, say Savills.

Thought there are plenty of interested buyers, sellers are being slower to come forward.

Ben Pridden at Savills York says: “The market is really picking up after the grim weather we saw earlier in the year, with plenty of buyers and not enough houses coming onto the market. We have buyers ready and willing to purchase, yet just not enough stock to sell. Those homes we have sold recently have commanded between 95 to 100 per cent of the asking price.

“Anyone thinking of selling could benefit from this buoyant market locally. I think we are seeing values not seen since 2007, which is extraordinary.”
