Action on city’s empty homes
A WEEK of Action on Empty Homes in Leeds launches on Monday.
Devised by Leeds-based social enterprise Social Business Brokers and backed by Leeds City Council, it aims to introduce home owners, businesses, investors and local communities to the range of solutions available to bring empty properties back into use.
Rob Greenland, co-director of Social Business Brokers says: “There are more than 5,000 longterm empty homes in Leeds while thousands of families struggle to find a decent home to rent or buy. This week of action is all about putting the spotlight on the practical, positive things all of us can do.”
