Flatshare demand high and rising
ACCORDING to the latest figures from global flatsharing website Easyroommate, demand for accommodation has stayed consistently high, with the number of people searching for a room across the UK reaching nearly 40,000.
February is usually one of the quietest months. However, 2013 has witnessed some of the largest numbers of people actively searching for accommodation. In 2012 there were 36,886 people looking for a room on the site, while last month there were 37,468 flatsharers, an overall increase of two per cent.
Jonathan Moore, director of Easyroommate says: “With the tough economic climate, more and more people are looking for alternative ways to save money.”
