Auction house has lots to celebrate
AUCTION house Manning Stainton is celebrating the success of its latest sale, where 80 per cent of lots were sold.
Buyers from London and Birmingham jetted into LeedsBradford Airport from Gatwick to secure properties and the saleroom was packed with 400 people.
A two-bedroom terrace at Dalton Grove in Beeston, Leeds, achieved over £60,000 from a guide of £25,000 to £30,000 while a house in Idle, Bradford, sold for £81,000 from a guide of £40,000 to £50,000.
A fire-damaged house in Harehills, Leeds, soared from a first bid of £22,000 to £58,400.
Bidders on the day included many investors and a significant number of home buyers.
