Price boomforecast across the country
AVERAGE house prices will rocket by almost 30% over the next five years, predict Chesterton Humberts.
The estate agency says they will rise by 5.5% this year with a total growth of 28.7% by 2017.
It adds that the South will continue to outperform the rest of the country, but Yorkshire won’t be far behind. The county will see a total growth of 25% along with the East Midlands. Elsewhere, the West Midlands should see a 19.6% rise, the North West 18.3% and the North East 11.8%.
Head of Research, Nick Barns, says: “There has been a notable uptick in market activity so far this year, in no small measure due to the greater availability of record low mortgage deals.”
