Positive signs as buyers test market
PROPERTY sales are buoyant, according to the latest Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors residential market survey.
Surveyors in Yorkshire expect sales to rise over the next three months. They say a key driver is an upturn in buyers testing the market. Interest from would-be buyers has now risen for two consecutive months, but supply could be an issue as there was a fall in the number of homes coming on to the market.
Yorkshire surveyors expect house prices in the region to rise and they also expect tenant demand to rise.
Bruce Collinson of Adair Paxton estate agents says: “Despite the long winter, we have seen a positive start to the first half of the year.”
