Whitby homes win awards

TWO new hous­ing de­vel­op­ments in Whitby won awards at the 2013 Lo­cal Au­thor­ity Build­ing Con­trol (LABC) Build­ing Ex­cel­lence Awards, which re­ward high qual­ity of con­struc­tion and work­man­ship.

Mul­grave Properties won awards for Best Large Hous­ing De­vel­op­ment and Best Af­ford­able Hous­ing De­vel­op­ment for its Moor­land Close de­vel­op­ment on Whitby’s West Cliff. The Moor­land Close de­vel­op­ment is on the site of the for­mer Moor­lands Ho­tel and is a curved build­ing of eight town houses, and four af­ford­able homes. White­hall Spital Bridge Limited, owmed by the late Ed­ward Astin, won Best Small Hous­ing De­vel­op­ment for White­hall Gar­dens.
