Prop­erty goes £33,000 over guide

HUNTERS the Es­tate Agent is cel­e­brat­ing auc­tion suc­cess, af­ter a wa­ter-dam­aged prop­erty with a re­serve / guide price of £10,000 sold for £43,000.

The prop­erty on In­dus­trial Street, Tod­mor­den, had suf­fered from flood dam­age and the unin­sured ven­dors agreed to ac­cept a cash of­fer from an in­vest­ment com­pany of £10,000. The in­vest­ment com­pany then in­structed Hunters to dis­pose it, set­ting a guide price of £10,000.

John Water­house, di­rec­tor of Hunters auc­tion house, said: “We are thrilled with our suc­cess with In­dus­trial Street.” The next auc­tion is on July 24 at York Race­course.
