Loan advisors report best month
THE Mortgage Advice Bureau has reported its most successful month.
It says its 500 advisers, who work in estate agency offices, saw an eight per cent rise in business in July compared to the same month last year.
MAB says growth increase since the Government’s help to buy scheme was launched.
Since January, the total value of mortgage applications has rocketed by 51 per cent, compared to the same period last year. Applications totalling £3.32bn were submitted in the first seven months of 2013. The figure was £2.21bn in 2012.
Chief executive of MAB, Peter Brodnicki, says: “This looks set to be a landmark year both for the MAB and the wider market.”
