Char­ity golf day boost for hospice

A CHAR­ITY golf day raised over £5,000 for the For­get Me Not Chil­dren’s Hospice.

Per­sim­mon Homes West York­shire, or­gan­ised the event and 21 teams took part. In­de­pen­dent builders mer­chants, AW Lumb, based in Dews­bury, beat off stiff com­pe­ti­tion to be crowned cham­pi­ons.

Per­sim­mon Homes West York­shire man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Wayne Grad­well, says: “It was fan­tas­tic to be in­volved the tour­na­ment and rais­ing £5,084 is a real achieve­ment. The money will help to sup­port For­get Me Not who do such amaz­ing work across the re­gion. Their work is es­sen­tial to the chil­dren and fam­i­lies that they sup­port and we are ex­tremely proud to be as­so­ci­ated with them.”
