AUCTION house Manning Stainton enjoyed its best ever performance with a 90 per cent sales success rate at its latest auction.

Demand for properties from buy-to-let investors was strong with every property in that category selling and many for considerably more than the guide price.

Renovation projects were also in demand, with a structurally damaged property in Leeds selling at £91,500 from a guide of £15,000 to £25,000.

Auction house director David Pank said: “The improving market could be felt in the atmosphere of the room with some lots having up to ten buyers competing to win them.”

The next auction is at Elland Road Stadium, Leeds, on December 4.
