Newhomes for a vil­lage in de­mand

THE de­sir­able vil­lage of Farn­ley Tyas, near Hud­der­s­field, is set to get 21 new homes rang­ing in price from £240,000 to £1.5m.

The de­vel­op­ment at Beech Farm is a part­ner­ship be­tween two of the area’s old­est fam­i­lies. Landowner Paul Sykes and de­vel­oper John Rad­cliffe have joined forces to plan and de­liver the new-builds.

Con­struc­tion has started on phase one of the scheme, which in­cludes three houses, a barn and two cot­tages. Prices start at £407,000 for the cot­tages.

Those who buy off-plan will have an in­put on the in­ter­nal lay­out and de­sign.
