Confidence and prices up in region
HOUSE prices in Yorkshire jumped again last month as rocketing interest from would-be buyers dwarfed the amount of properties coming onto the market, according to the October’s RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Residential Market Survey.
A net balance of 41 per cent more surveyors in the region reported rising house prices.
This is the highest reading since March 2004.
Alex J McNeil, of Bramleys property agents, says: “Despite a seasonal slowdown we’re now seeing the greatest level of confidence in the housing market since 2007, with sales volumes and potential values set to increase in 2014.”
