Persimmon’s footfall rises
YORKSHIRE housebuilder Persimmon has welcomed its interim management statement, which reveals that visitors to new developments across the country increased by 20 per cent over the past year.
The company also saw sales increase by 45 per cent.
Wayne Gradwell, of Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire, said improvements were being seen as more people gain confidence in the economy and take advantage of new incentives.
“The introduction of the Government-sponsored Help to Buy equity loan scheme in April, which is only available to buyers of new homes, has proved particularly attractive, with over 3,000 new homes sold by Persimmon under this scheme.”
