City increases in rental popularity
WAKEFIELD’S growing appeal as a place to live has been underlined after one of the city’s letting agents revealed its busiest day in its history.
Staff from Linley & Simpson, in Northgate, handed over a recordbreaking 43 sets of keys one weekend this month to tenants moving into new properties.
Manager Ross Harding says: “This was not just the busiest day for the Wakefield branch, but the busiest one for any of the company’s ten branches since launching 16 years ago.
“This weekend comes on the back of our busiest year for the office.
“The rise in rental demand highlights how far the district has travelled as a popular place to live and work.”
