Christmas could be best time to sell

Yorkshire Post - Property - - PROPERTY -

MANY homeowners will be waiting for spring before putting their property on the market but they could be missing a trick, according to Ed Stoyle, head of residential property sales at Carter Jonas York.

Winter, including Christmas, is the perfect time to sell as fewer properties are available and only the most committed buyers are viewing, says Ed.

He adds: “The winter months, and indeed the Christmas period, can be more productive than people realise.

“During the winter, agents rest properties that failed to sell while few new ones appear, so homes marketed at this time will naturally enjoy a much higher profile.”
