Spanish market back on top
EARLY signs are pointing to a bumper 2014 for the Spanish market, where agents are reporting a busy start to the year and an increasing number of new developments coming to market.
Richard Way, Editor of The Overseas Guides company says: “A joint report by PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) says Spain had transformed from “property pariah to star market” by autumn of last year, with the revival expected to continue in 2014. Encouraging stats show that developers have the confidence to build again. Alicante province finished 2013 with a total of 2,037 new houses being constructed, which is a 362 per cent increase compared to 2012 and back to pre-crisis levels.”
