Intoducing spa town’s new hotspot
BEECH Grove in Harrogate is one of the town’s most recent hotspots, say Strutt and Parker.
A handful of flats have been snapped up recently, some before they have reached the open market. So what is the attraction?
“It is a combination of factors,” says Strutt and Parker’s Daniel Rigg. “Many flats are bought by downsizers. We have just been through a deep recession and in these times, owners of larger houses or farmhouses in the country can feel the pinch, especially if they are retired and the cash is not flowing so freely.
“The financial risk of having to repair the roof or update the boilers is not something people want hanging over them – a flat on Beech Grove is a very attractive option.”
