Sales and rental demand increases
YORKSHIRE is one of the best areas in the UK to rent and to let, according to agents Dacre, Son and Hartley.
The average rental price in Yorkshire increased to £626 per calendar month in the fourth quarter of 2013. Despite the increase of £36 over the previous quarter, the region is still the best value place to rent in the UK.
Patrick McCutcheon, of Dacre, Son and Hartley, says: “Our data shows that the rental market throughout the region is experiencing a huge amount of demand from tenants looking for high quality homes in good locations and a shortage of supply is continuing to push rental values upwards. This positivity is mirrored in the sales market where demand is steadily increasing.”
