Con­tenders for RIBA award un­veiled

FIF­TEEN build­ings in the re­gion have been short­listed for a 2014 RIBA York­shire Award by the Royal In­sti­tute of Bri­tish Ar­chi­tects.

They in­clude Great Coates Vil­lage Hall, Great Coates by Jonathan Hendry Ar­chi­tects; Manor Works, Sh­effield, by Ar­chi­tec­ture; Nes­tle Prod­uct Tech­nol­ogy Cen­tre, York, by DLA Ar­chi­tec­ture Ltd; Trin­ity Leeds by Chap­man Tay­lor; Un­der­bank House, Holm­firth, by Prue Chiles Ar­chi­tects and Wake­field One by Cartwright Pickard.

Emma Eng­land, re­gional di­rec­tor of RIBA York­shire, says: “We are de­lighted with the num­ber of awards en­tries and the qual­ity of the ar­chi­tec­ture on the shortlist this year. It is a di­verse list.” Win­ners are an­nounced in May.
