EDDISONS sold 108 (81.2 per cent) of the 133 lots offered at its first three day sale of the year, generating total proceeds of over £11.2m.

Tony Webber of Eddisons says: “This was an excellent to start our 2014 auction campaign and continues the positive trend we saw towards the end of last year. Demand was high for lots in all categories which meant that the bidding was competitive.”

Among the highlights was a tenanted cottage in Esholt, near Shipley, producing income of £6,600 per annumm. It sold for £201,000. A former textile mill in Halifax which has planning consent for 56 residential units sold for £170,000. Eddisons’ next Leeds sale takes place on April 10.
