Developers show faith in new homes
WHITBY: Work has started on the first phase of a new development at High Stakesby in Whitby. It will see 190 new homes built on land formerly owned by the Order of the Holy Paraclete, who are based at Sneaton Castle. The developer behind the scheme, S Harrison, and partner Tees Valley Housing, which is part of the Thirteen Group, have appointed Kier Living to carry out the three year construction project. Half of the homes will be affordable, and there will be a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes, all with gardens, as well as a number of bungalows. Buyers will also have the option of shared ownership.
