Prices expected to rise three per cent
FORECAST: The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors believe UK house prices will increase by three per cent this year.
The RICS annual housing market forecast also predicts rents will rise by two to three per cent. It adds that East Anglia is likely to continue its upward trend and alongside the North West and West Midlands is likely to record gains higher than the national average in 2017.
Meanwhile, prices in Central London look set to stabilise after recent declines, with the weaker exchange rate encouraging foreign buyers. It calls on the government to come up with a plan of action for housing.
