Brad­ford among poor per­form­ers

PRICES: Mid­dles­brough is the only area where house prices fell in 2016. Plen­tific say val­ues dropped by 0.86 per cent. Ip­swich recorded the high­est in­crease with 19.99 per cent. Brad­ford was in Plen­tific’s top ten worst per­form­ers of 2016 with a 1.56 per cent rise in prices. The firm’s Stephen Jury says: “These find­ings give an in­sight for those look­ing to in­vest in a new area for 2017. Us­ing our list, po­ten­tial buy­ers can see the trends of 2016 and de­ter­mine which ar­eas are likely to keep climb­ing in value over this year. In com­muter lo­ca­tions such as Read­ing and St Al­bans, it’s not just prop­erty which is in high de­mand, it’s also trades­peo­ple.”
