Re­gion sees steady growth in prices

LAT­EST FIG­URES: The Land Registry data for Novem­ber shows an an­nual house price in­crease of 6.7 per cent, which takes the av­er­age prop­erty value in the UK to £217,928. Monthly house prices rose by 1.1 per cent be­tween Oc­to­ber and Novem­ber 2016. In York­shire, monthly prices matched the na­tional av­er­age with a 1.1 per cent and the an­nual growth was 5.1 per cent bring­ing the av­er­age house price in the re­gion to £152,418. The East of Eng­land ex­pe­ri­enced the great­est in­crease in its av­er­age prop­erty price over the last 12 months with a move­ment of 10.5 per cent. The North East saw the low­est, with a rise of 3.2 per cent.
