Manch­ester leads price rises in North

CITIES: The lat­est Home­track UK Cities House Price Index re­veals that house price growth in Lon­don has fallen to 6.4 per cent but prices there are still 85 per cent higher than in 2009. Bris­tol re­mains the fastest grow­ing city in the Index with an­nual growth hold­ing steady at 9.5 per cent, al­though it is down from a high of 14 per cent recorded in June 2016. Manch­ester is reg­is­ter­ing the great­est up­lift with an in­crease of 8.3 per cent. Leeds showed an 5.5 per cent an­nual growth and a 0.9 per cent up­lift in Jan­uary. Sh­effield prices in­creased by four per cent an­nu­ally with a 0.1 per cent fall in Jan­uary.
