GARRY LO’S first-half hat-trick on his fi­nal Sh­effield Ea­gles ap­pear­ance proved in vain as Toulouse won the King­stone Press Cham­pi­onship Shield with a ram­pant vic­tory.

The 23-year-old, who has signed a two-year deal at Castle­ford, scored his tre­ble in­side the first 32 min­utes to put Sh­effield 14-4 ahead af­ter Mark Kheiral­lah had pulled a try back.

But the French side came roar­ing back and scored 40 unan­swered points as Stanis­las Robin, Gavin Mar­guerite, Rhys Cur­ran, Paul Mar­con, Kheiral­lah, An­thony Mar­ion, Con­stan­tine Mika and Tony Mau­rel all reg­is­tered tries.
