Yorkshire Post - Sports Monday - - RUGBY UNION -

Good day: Stevie McColl

Started and finished that brilliant try to give Carnegie the win and their long-suffering fans some welcome relief after 72 minute of little other flair.

Bad day: Josh Bainbridge

The 21-year-old flanker is rated one of the best young talents around but he has had some turgid luck with injuries. That looks set to continue after he suffered a suspected broken cheekbone.

Key moment: 71st minute

Hartpury were leading 16-13 and set for only their fifth league win of the season when Stevie McColl broke their hearts.

Ref watch: Hamish Smales

Some Hartpury players felt Chris Elder should have been carded for a tip-tackle.

It was not pretty to watch but you cannot fault Carnegie’s character for digging out a win when they had stuttered for such long periods.
