Paul and Reifer help to tame the Lions

CRICKET: West Indies A re­cov­ered from 153-7 to post a tar­get of 257 which would prove to be unas­sail­able as the Eng­land Lions lost the one-day se­ries.

Keemo Paul (55) and Ray­mon Reifer (45no) helped steady the ship af­ter the Windies A top or­der strug­gled to make an im­pact at Coolidge.

Kieran Pow­ell was the first to fall for just 10 in the sixth, while open­ing part­ner Devon Thomas fell for eight two balls later.

Lions open­ing bowlers Richard Glee­son and Sam Cur­ran took three wick­ets apiece, while Matt Parkin­son and Do­minic Bess were also in the wick­ets.

But Jer­maine Black­wood and Jah­mar Hamil­ton scored 53 and 35 as the vis­i­tors were set a tar­get which would prove to be be­yond their reach, with the Windies A win­ning by 25 runs to take a 2-0 lead in the se­ries.
