Alexander leads Sharks to victory
BASKETBALL: Sheffield Sharks made it two wins from two on the road this weekend as they defeated Surrey Scorchers 9383 in the BBL Championship.
Atiba Lyons’s side move to a 5-3 record to move into the top four, while the Scorchers drop to 2-6 following another home loss.
Sheffield made a strong start to the game with 28 points in the opening quarter, leading by as many as 13 points in the contest.
The Sharks were clinical on the offensive end with nearly 60 per cent shooting from the field.
Chris Alexander led the way with 20 points along with six assists for the Sharks with five other players, including Rob Marsden (14), in double figures, while Anthony Collins added eight assists to his 10 points and five rebounds.
