Jimmy’s Hall

Yorkshire Post - YP Magazine - - Front Page -

KEN Loach is back in the directing chair for a film inspired by the deportation of Irish political activist Jimmy Gralton to America in the 1920s. Returning to his home country in 1932 to help run the family farm, he finds a new government in power. Reopening the hall where he once stood on his political soap box as a centre for young people to meet and dance, success comes quickly, but Jimmy’s radical ideas are not to everyone’s taste.

On general release.
