On August 6, 1945 the world changed forever, when a uranium gun-type atomic bomb (codenamed Little Boy) was dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima by the US Air Force’s Boeing B-29 Superfortress Enola Gay. Little Boy exploded 2,000 feet above the city, destroyed five square miles, and eventually killed in excess of 160,000 people. This documentary marks the 70th anniversary of the day the world’s first atomic bomb was detonated, and features an in-depth account of what happened on that tragic day, through rarely seen archive footage and unique interviews with eyewitnesses.
