Bid­der pulls out stops to land Tram Queue

A PEN, ink and wa­ter­colour paint­ing, The Tram Queue, Leeds, by Edgar Owen Jen­nings (1899-1985), to­gether with a batch of wa­ter­colours by dif­fer­ent artists, fetched £937 at Bon­hams, Ed­in­burgh, where Gath­er­ing Sheep Nr Bolton Castle, by Arthur Regi­nald Smith (1871-1934) made £562. cen­tury bro­cade heeled women’s shoes fetched £235 (in­clud­ing pre­mium) at a Ten­nants vintage cos­tume sale and a 19th cen­tury cot­ton Ayr­shire chris­ten­ing gown made £188.

BOX­ING CLEVER: This Match­box Mor­ris Mi­nor sold for £2,160 at Vec­tis of Thorn­aby.
