Aircrash: Disaster Over New York

In November 2001, New York was a city still in shock, with the residents trying to piece their lives together following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. So when American Airlines 587 crashed into Belle Harbour, New York, shortly after taking off from JFK Airport en route to the Dominican Republic, theories of what could have caused the tragedy were soon in circulation. All 260 people on board the flight were killed, along with five people on the ground, and the relatives of the dead, as well as the terrified public, wanted answers.
