I have been revitalised by the high quality of nitpicking this year and particularly appreciate the two pages of notes sent in by one reader who picked holes in several questions. One thing has surprised me. I set a trap in the Little George question that more than half the entrants fell into. If you expect a Burgundy-shaped bottle with a Pétrus (Bordeaux) label to sell for a very high price then this column needs to go back to basics for a while.
