Police launch murder inquiry

Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 50-year-old man in the resort

Officers were alerted by the ambulance service who had been called to a flat on Princess Street, in the Old Town, on Thursday afternoon.

A 54-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

He is being held in custody for questioning while enquiries continue.

Witnesses are asked to call 101 or Crimstoppers anonymously.
