Cadets are sworn in as volunteers
Twenty young people from Scarborough were officially sworn in as North Yorkshire Volunteer Police Cadets last night.
The cadets, who are aged 14 to 16 and joined the town’s first ever Volunteer Police Cadet unit back in November, were attested in front of family and friends at their passing out ceremony.
They will now be expected to volunteer an additional three hours per month to policing activities to help their local community.
