Yorkshire Post - - BUSINESS -

TEN BUSINESS leaders from the region have been named on a national list of 100 influential individuals by business and financial adviser Grant Thornton.

Grant Thornton’s 100 Faces of a Vibrant Economy celebrates leaders who demonstrate excellence and dedication to growth, purpose and innovation.

Joanna Robinson, managing director of Bradford-based Mansfield Pollard, is among 100 people chosen by Grant Thornton and an independent panel for their work to build a more purposeful and socially responsible Britain.

The boss of the air management experts said she was “proud” to have been named among the 100.

Ms Robinson added: “It’s fantastic to be included in the list along with many inspirational leaders from across the UK.”

Sharon Watson, from Phoenix Dance, Diane Cheesebrough, from thebigword, Gina Rowlands, of Bevan Healthcare, Andrew Lane, Union Industries, Glynn Robinson, from BJSS, Derek Carter, Portakabin, Chris Husbands, Sheffield Hallam University, Lee Strafford, Accelerated Digital Ventures, and Carl Cavers, Sumo Digital, are the other nine Yorkshire leaders to make the list.

Andy Wood, managing partner for Grant Thornton Yorkshire, said: “I’m delighted to see so many Yorkshire names on our list of Faces. This is a testament to the enthusiasm, talent and diversity of our region’s business community.

“Their commitment and passion makes us want to be like them, to work with them and to learn from them. They demonstrate how businesses can be a force for good in society, how creative approaches and commitment to investing in your people can drive results, and how passion, coupled with purpose and a great idea can change the world for the better.”
