Law firm lands Government energy deal
LAW FIRM Womble Bond Dickinson has been appointed by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy to advise on guidance for Heat Networks projects.
The firm, which has an office in Leeds, will work with the Heat Networks Delivery Unit within BEIS to develop guidance for local authorities and other public bodies on developing Heat Networks projects in collaboration with investors across the UK.
This engagement comes on the back of Womble Bond Dickinson’s appointment to the Crown Commercial Services panel, providing services across a range of disciplines, including general commercial, litigation and employment advice.
Charles Robson, of Womble Bond Dickinson, said: “We look forward to working with BEIS in developing this important guidance. The development of heat networks in the UK is at an important crossroads and we hope this guidance will play a part in broadening the range of players and the structures used to deliver these schemes.”
