Property-marking machines arrive

NORTH YORKSHIRE: Crimefighting technology designed to help people protect their personal property has arrived in Ryedale.

Dot peen machines use a tungsten carbide-tipped pin to indent an object with dots to create a visible, permanent unique number.

North Yorkshire Police’s Neighbourhood Policing Teams are now offering the service to residents and businesses in Ryedale for free, after their use in York and Harrogate proved a success.
