Force displays ‘trauma teddies’

A squad of “trauma teddies” was showcased at the Great Yorkshire Show yesterday and will be used by police in the future to comfort children enduring harrowing situations.

North Yorkshire Police officers will take the teddies on patrol and use them to comfort children affected by upsetting and traumatic events. The teddies have been knitted and donated to the force by members of the Killinghall Women’s Institute.
