400 num­ber plates in ban over ‘poor taste’

MO­TOR­ING: More than 400 num­ber plates have been banned from use as part of the new “68” ve­hi­cle reg­is­tra­tions.

The Driver and Ve­hi­cle Li­cens­ing Agency (DVLA) is hold­ing back com­bi­na­tions it feels “may cause of­fence, em­bar­rass­ment or are in poor taste”.

Mo­torists of­ten get cre­ative with per­son­alised plates to spell out words.
