Stabbing victim was ‘caring’ mother

SURREY: Tributes have been paid to a “caring” mother with a “wonderful heart” who was stabbed to death in the street.

Aliny Mendes, 39, died at the roadside in Ewell, Surrey on Friday at about 3pm. Her sister, who has not been named, issued a statement on behalf of the family on Saturday. She said: “My sister was lovely, always thinking about everyone but mostly her children.”

Two men were arrested in connection with Ms Mendes’s death.
