Work on rail bridge forits anniversary

TRANSPORT: Improvements have been carried out on a historic railway bridge ahead of its 195th anniversary

The Skerne Bridge in Darlington has had work carried out by Network Rail.

The structure opened on September 27 1825 to carry the Stockton and Darlington Railway over the River Skerne. Celebrations will be held in the town this weekend.
