Homes to go upon former school site

HUDDERSFFIELD: Kirklees Council is to sell a former school site for affordable housing.

The land at Plane Street in Newsome, Huddersfield, was once the location of Stile Common Infants and Nursery School, which closed in 2009 and was demolished in 2011.

It will be sold to Accent Housing, which intends to build 30 affordable two and three- bedroom houses.
