Who says you can only have one wedding style? Lucinda and Simon’s celebration was a day of contrasts – and all the more beautiful for it.

The couple chose the leafy surroundings of Hampstead Heath for their outdoor ceremony, while their reception venue was worlds away in terms of style. “Loft Studios is a photography studio and has an urban, industrial feel with exposed brick,” says Lucinda. Guests who had earlier enjoyed champagne and strawberries in idyllic parkland then found themselves in a courtyard watching JUDIÀWL DUWLVWV FUHDWH OLYH SRUWUDLWV RI WKH newlyweds. “Changing venues during the day helped keep things moving, and has left me with distinct memories of every part,” says Simon.

The idea of cool contrasts continued through the colour palette: a wash of VRIW VKHUEHW WRQHV HQOLYHQHG E\ ÁDVKHV of bold hues. While the couple felt the natural beauty of their ceremony venue meant no decoration was necessary, they put their personal stamp on the reception.

Delicate seasonal blooms softened the warehouse-style space, along with foliage garlands and olive trees. The couple met through their university tennis club, and made reference to this in their styling. Their table plan was designed to look like the order of play sign at the Wimbledon Championships, and tennis balls served as place names. “My dad painstakingly cut them in half so we could place our favours inside,” says Lucinda. “These were USBS with a playlist of our wedding music.”
