You and Your Wedding - - Look Amazing -

Make sure your w-day stylist has a beautiful mane to work their magic on. Our team of testers tried out three high-end treatments to enhance your locks ahead of the big day

72 Hair Smoothing Treatment, from £150, available at Kennaland, London, and Rush salons nationwide Arriving at the salon with my frizzprone hair tied in a topknot, I had a brief chat with my stylist about what I was after – not poker-straight hair, just a smoother version of my own mop. The treatment began with two shampoos and then the formula was applied, combed through, and left on for 20 minutes while I sipped a cup of tea. My hair was then blow-dried and the treatment sealed in with hair straighteners. The result was wonderful; I actually looked like I knew my way around a hairdryer – the perfect treatment to banish that halo of frizz. Peta Hunt, editor-at-large

Balayage treatment, from £250, available at Hiro Miyoshi Hair & Beauty, Mayfair I have a confession; I’m a haircolouring novice. Before stepping into Hiro’s salon, I’d never touched the hue of my hair. As a child, I resembled the Milkybar Kid but as I grew up, it got gradually darker. After deciding to go back to blonde, I booked in with Hiro. He immediately knew which shades I would suit. As I was new to the colouring game, he suggested I go for something subtle. Happily, I left the salon with brighter, blonder hair, but still looked like myself. It was natural, shiny and, best of all, in beautiful condition. Melanie Macleod, content writer

7-Day Volumeze Blow Dry and extensions, from £350, available at Stephanie Pollard, London ,·P!FXUVHG!ZLWK!VXSHU"ÀQH!KDLU!DQG! am on a lifetime mission to give it a boost, without looking WAGtastic. The tape extensions – which are matched to your colour after a consultation – are attached safely to your own hair using keratin resin, and stay in for 10-12 weeks. If you want more hair to play with for your w-day hairstyle and honeymoon, this is the ideal option. I didn’t have to wrap my hairband around my ponytail four times any longer! The only downside of having these amazing extensions: your own hair just might not be enough any more. Zoë Burke, content writer
