Irene and Mar­tin were keen to in­clude both their her­itages in their Lon­don cel­e­bra­tion – East meets West, un­der­pinned by time­less glam­our. Ac­cord­ingly, they had two cer­e­monies and two re­cep­tions, all on the same day! The cou­ple had been given an aus­pi­cious wed­ding date, ac­cord­ing to the Chi­nese zo­diac and lu­nar cal­en­dar, dur­ing a trip to Irene’s birth­place, Hong Kong. “Although it’s not some­thing that’s prac­tised in my fam­ily, it was my way of pay­ing my re­spects to my an­ces­tors,” she says. Un­for­tu­nately, the se­lected date left them just six months to plan. But with the bride tak­ing care of the styling, and the groom tak­ing on the lo­gis­tics, they man­aged to pull off a day to re­mem­ber. Irene and Mar­tin even found time to come up with dif­fer­ent looks for each part of the cel­e­bra­tion. For the bless­ing
