The bird flu outbreaks have taken us all by surprise.

We at Garden Life have had a rush of orders for our Steel Framed Walk-in Chicken Runs. We have been working with members of the poultry world to help protect your birds as much as we can, and the latest advice is to keep them undercover to prevent contact with wild birds and also from bird droppings. Updated advice can be found at www.gov.uk/guidance/avianinfluenza-bird-flu

We think our best solution comes in two parts:

1 We are advising existing customers to upgrade their mesh to our half inch hole, which should stop very small birds getting into the run. This can be fitted over your existing one-inch mesh and will also give more strength to your run.

2 We also advise all runs should have a full roof cover to prevent wildbird droppings falling into the run. We have tasked our factory with manufacturing light polyethylene covers to fit most of our size range but we don’t expect delivery until late April.

We have added a category on our website www.gardenlife.biz allowing existing customers the option of buying enough half-inch mesh to cover your run at a discounted price. New customers please consider our half inch mesh option when ordering. MORE: Garden Life Ltd; www. gardenlife.biz; email sales@gardenlife.biz; Tel: 0800 832 1962
